RIM wants to make its messaging app the most used on the market and what with low phone sales the only way would be to expand it to the most popular smartphones on the market.

In a press release today BlackBerry has noted that the application is pending approval from both Apple and Google. The BBM chat service will come to the App Store and Google Play Store during the summer.

DualShock 4 was developed alongside a second peripheral, a dual camera, which can sense the depth of the environment in front of it and also track the 3D location of the controller via its light bar. The new camera incorporates four microphones capable of accurate sound detection and source origination, and it will support the PlayStation Move motion controller with more precision than ever before.

Google Nexus 7

It’d be tough to find a better budget tablet on the market right now than the Google Nexus 7, which sells for an incredibly attractive price tag of £159 for the 16GB model and £199 for the 32GB version. This 7-inch tablet packs in a lot of noteworthy features, including its 1.3GHz Tegra 3 processor with 1GB RAM and the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS. While the resolution doesn’t cram in the impressive specs that the new iPad with Retina Display does (216 ppi versus 264ppi), it’s important to remember that the Google Nexus 7’s price point is a few hundred pounds lower than the new iPad with Retina Display. The biggest disappointment of the Google Nexus 7? No microSD card slot, which means if you’re hoping for anything over 32GB, you’re out of luck.

Amazon Kindle Fire HD

Amazon has upped its game when it comes to offering a cheap tablet with good specs, design, and raw performance. Matching the Google Nexus 7’s prices for both the 16GB and the 32GB models, the competition between these two tablets is stiff. The Kindle Fire HD offers a slightly less impressive performance than the Google Nexus 7, featuring a 1.2GHz processor and running on the older Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS. The big advantage to owning a Kindle Fire HD is that it makes downloading and viewing media content super easy, giving you access to 22 million movies, TV shows, songs, books, magazines, apps, games, and the chance to take advantage of the Kindle Owners’ Lending Library to boot. There’s no microSD slot in the Kindle Fire HD either, but you do get free unlimited cloud storage.

iPad Mini

New to the budget tablet market is the iPad mini. Coming in at a price point of £269, it’s still more expensive than most would like, but it does have the advantage of running on Apple’s kickass iOS6 operating system in its corner. Another advantage of the iPad mini over the Google Nexus 7 and the Amazon Kindle Fire HD is that as well as its 16GB and 32GB storage models, it offers a beefy 64GB model, although the price point for that model may be too high to truly be in the running for the best budget tablet. The screen is larger than the competition (7.9-inches), but the device itself is more lightweight, which may be a big plus for some users. Biggest disappointment? The new iPad mini misses out on Retina Display, packing in a meager 163ppi display.

Even budget tablets can end up being a big investment, but once I convinced myself to sell my iPod Touch, I was well on the way to putting the purchase of a new tablet within reach.

The new game, called Grand Theft Auto V, will be launched in the second quarter of 2013 and the title looks like it is going to be the most revolutionary game in the open world genre since the release of Crazy Taxi. Along with the usual mix of features that have helped GTA reach the pinnacle of gaming, the newest release should bring with it a lot of exciting, new components.

With GTA V comes an entirely new setting, centring around the world of ex underworld king, Michael, an old time gangster who’s struggling to adapt to the sedate surroundings of retired life. The aim of the game is to help the former crook escape his dysfunctional family and luxury mansion and return to the life of crime that where he first made his millions.

However, rather than just controlling the one main character, for the first time ever in the series, in GTA V there are three playable characters, the most notable new aspect of the game. The two protagonists alongside Michael, are his ex-partner in crime Trevor, and young understudy Franklin. In GTA V you are able to interchange freely between these three characters as you try to complete the various tasks in the game, adding an entertaining element to proceedings.

However, the presence of three characters is not merely an interesting new plot device, it is an essential tool in allowing you to get to grips with the new city, which is absolutely huge. The playing area of GTA V, Los Santos, a fictional recreation of Los Angeles, is so big that even the combined maps of Red Dead Redemption, GTA: San Andreas and GTA IV don’t equal it in size. Having the three playable protagonists is the only thing that makes exploring your massive, new surroundings possible.

As well as this great, new world, the latest Rockstar developed title also features a huge array of mini games, including tennis, which make the open world games of the past, such as the original GTA, seem thoroughly rigid. There is also a revamped multiplayer mode on GTA V, with the option to join an online ‘crew’ and connect across multiple titles, such as Max Payne.

However, while GTA V comes with a lot of new features and facets, the game stays true to the concepts that helped to make the series so successful in the first place. There will be plenty casual violence to carry out and lots of cars to steal, as well as a good dose of humour.

The three characters names are Michael, Trevor and Franklin. Michael is a old school bank robber who is about 40 years old, Michael is broke because his wife has eaten all his bank robbery money. Trevor is Michael’s friend and he is said to be a “drugged out psychopath” so he is a natural born killer. Franklin is the young one the OG, he is in his 20′s and he is described as “the young and capable one of the bunch.”

Rockstar have said Los Santos the new city will be the biggest world they have created in a single game. They said it will be “bigger than Read Dead Redemption, Grand Theft Auto IV and San Andreas combined.” this city will be huge all three of these games had big cities so if Los Santos is bigger than all three combined it will make for some cool gameplay.

More than likely this event is for the iPad Mini, its rumoured to sport a 7.85-inch screen compared to its bigger brothers 9.7-inch display.

An iPad Mini would put apple right in competition with the likes of Google with their Nexus tablet and Amazon with their Kindle Fire and FireHD line.

Estimates say the new iPad Mini will cost between £200 and £249, which in turn will make it the most expensive 7 inch tab on the market.

All will be revealed come October 23rd we will just have to wait and see. Countdown below!

What with the PlayStation store having over 20,000 games and over 100,000 movie titles, a revamp of the store to make it more productive is a necessity.

Rovio to launch Bad Piggies on September 27!

Espoo, Finland- September 4, 2012 Rovio Entertainment, the creators of Angry Birds, today announced their newest game, Bad Piggies, launching September 27 for iOS, Android and Mac. This innovative game turns the franchise on its head by letting the fans play as the pigs – with all new, never-before-seen gameplay – and not a slingshot in sight!

“There’s a lot of empathy towards the lovable enemies from the Angry Birds games, and we’ve been constantly asked: what about the pigs’ side of the story?” said Mikael Hed, CEO of Rovio. “Bad Piggies gives you the chance to play as the second-most-loved characters in the Angry Birds universe, and explore this rich world through their green eyes.”

The new game will launch on iOS, Android and Mac on September 27. Windows Phone, Windows 8 and PC versions will follow shortly.

“We’ve had a lot of fun creating a totally new and unique gameplay experience,” said Petri Järvilehto, EVP Games at Rovio. “There’s so much more to these pigs than what is seen in the Angry Birds games, and Bad Piggies is the first glimpse into what’s going on in the imaginative and ingenious minds of the pigs.”

This event is most likely for the long awaited iPhone 5 judging from the “5″ in the press picture.

The ability to use the physical PS buttons to navigate around the menu rather than using the touchscreen will be added, New music syncing features which allows you to sync music from iTunes, Video playback has been updated with playback speed controls and repeat play controls all this and many more new features are coming this month.

Cross Controller

The new Cross-Controller feature will allow you to use PS Vita as a controller to play compatible games on PS3, such as LittleBigPlanet 2. This feature lets you take advantage of PS Vita’s rich features including the touch screen, rear touch pad, six-axis motion sensing system, and cameras.

To access the cross controller feature you need to launch the Remote Play application and then click on the Cross-Controller icon.

Controls

As many of you have requested, you will now have the option to control the home screen and some features of applications such as Videos and Music with the buttons on the PS Vita system.

Music

Playlists will be supported in Music. You will be able to transfer iTunes (10.6.3 or later), M3U, and M3U8 playlists from a PS3 or a PC using Content Manager.

Web Browser

Rear touch pad operation will be supported by the browser, allowing you to scroll through and zoom out of pages without obscuring the screen.

Photos

Viewing photos in MPO format will now be supported, with the ability to transfer MPO files from PS3™ and PC using Content Manager.
* 3D and multi-angle viewing are NOT supported.

Group Messaging

Along with some new layout enhancements, you will be able to take photos to add as attachments when writing Group Messages.

Maps

The Maps feature has been improved by adding a button on the top screen to switch between “Search for Location” and “Search for Directions.” You can also touch and hold a location on the map and place a user flag.

“Near”

“Near” will be able to gather the information of surrounding Wi-Fi access points without internet connection and update the location data based on it later. You can get location data within the area covered by Wi-Fi location services.

The following controls have been added to Videos:

• Playback speed control
• Repeat play

It has a 4 inch screen, with a thickness of 7.6 mm, the back has a two tone aluminium look and over at the front the FaceTime camera has been centred on top of the phones ear piece, the headphone jack is now on the bottom left of the device and the dock connector, speaker and mic has a new layout and design.

Nokia CEO Stephen Elop a former Microsoft employee has said…

Showing that he is confident that  working withMicrosoft  is the way forward.

Nokia’s has said goodbye to its famous OS Symbian and is fully on bored with the Windows Phone OS.

 Windows Phone 8 will become familiar to people because of Microsoft’s huge advertising campaign 

Nokia believes that when Windows 8 is launched in October they will see a new wave of customers who want all there devices on the same plat form sort of like Apple users who own a Mac, iPhone and iPad.

I hope Nokia’s plan works and I wish them every bit of success you never know we might all be using Nokia phones again over iPhones and Android devices. 

This new super LED rose gold coloured TV set is not one for the light-hearted what with its amazing screen resolution and its tiny 0.31-inch bezel.

This TV is equipped with motion sensors so you can enjoy angry birds when you’re other devices just aren’t cutting it.

No controller is required just use motion gestures to fire the birds and kill all them cute little pigs.

Angry birds will be a free download on this ‘Smart TV’ and will be available in the coming months keep an eye out for other games which have been promised from different developers alike.
