Well it’s not a shocker, we all know Steve Jobs wasn’t fond of Android so here is what he thought…
In Steve Job’s upcoming book Isaacson wrote that Jobs was livid back in January 2010 when HTC showed off their Android phones and introduced the same features that the original iPhone already had. Apple did of course sue, and Mr Jobs told Isaacson all about it to write in his upcoming book, he was incredibly offended by what Google did and called their actions “grand theft.”
Steve also said “I will spend my last dying breath if I need to, and I will spend every penny of Apple’s $40 billion in the bank, to right this wrong,” and that “I’m going to destroy Android, because it’s a stolen product. I’m willing to go thermonuclear war on this.”
Steve when on to explain how Android and Google Docs is a rip off of their creation, Steve had a meeting with Schmidt at a Palo Alto Calif (A cafe). Steve told Schmidt that he was not under any circumstance interested in settling this lawsuit.
He said “I don’t want your money. If you offer me $5 billion, I won’t want it. I’ve got plenty of money. I want you to stop using our ideas in Android, that’s all I want.”
Its pretty clear Steve Jobs wasn’t happy with Android and Google.
In the book Steve also spoke about Jonathan Ive (Apple’s design chief) calling him his “spiritual partner” at Apple. He said that Jonathan Ive had “more operation power” at Apple than anyone in the company besides Jobs himself of course and that no one at Apple could tell him what to do, Jobs said that was “the way I set it up.” referring to apple.
This book is going to be big and its out on Monday head over to Amazon to pick up a copy
