PSN hackers say they have over 2 million credit card details
sit tight and get ready to be shocked, the PSN hackers say they have over 2 million credit card details a huge amount of people on online forums say they have access to over 2 million peoples cards details on the other hand security researchers say it is not possible to verify the claims.
Between the 17th and 19th April 2011 Sony realised they were being hack and in turn took the network down, a massive 77 million PSN users say they have been a victim of fraudulent charges on their credit cards most of the people being attacked say they have had charges in German airlines and Japanese stores.
Big dog Kevin Stevens, security analyst at Trend Micro said “the hackers that hacked PSN are selling off the DB [database]. They reportedly have 2.2m credit cards with CVVs” he also said he couldn’t be sure the claim was true.
Apparently Sony got offered to buy the database back from the hackers and sony declined it, but Patrick Seybold from sony said that was a big fat lie.
Sony did say the credit card data was encrypted “While all credit card information stored in our systems is encrypted and there is no evidence at this time that credit card data was taken, we cannot rule out the possibility.
They also said “If you have provided your credit card data through PlayStation Network or Qriocity,” they are “advising you that your credit card number (excluding security code) and expiration date may have been obtained. ” MAY HAVE BEEN OBTAINED ?!?
Lets just hope and pray our accounts are okay, There is a solution to solve this just call your bank and tell them and order a new card with a new card number and security code.
